The publication “Facts and Trends 2018"
presents an up-to-date understanding of Jerusalem on a wide range of topics,
including demography, employment, education, construction, and tourism. The
publication is intended to summarize the main findings of the Institute’s
annual Statistical Yearbook of Jerusalem using short texts accompanied by
graphs and maps, allowing readers to grasp the main trends occurring in
Israel’s largest and most complex city.
Most of the publication’s data comes directly
from the Institute’s Statistical Yearbook, which is published annually by both
the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research and the Jerusalem Municipality and
includes over 250 tables and dozens of graphs. The data from the Statistical
Yearbook itself comes from a variety of different sources, most notably the
Central Bureau of Statistics, the Jerusalem Municipality, and the National
